3-D DΓ©cor with Poinsettia Dies

It's so close to Holiday Time!  I want to show you a simple application of bright red foil poinsettias to an old horn.

Poinsettia Dies #153522

The dies  have a cutting and an embossing section in different sizes. The embossing piece fits inside of the cutting piece.

They come out nice and crisp.
You can do more than 1 at a ttime by stacking paper.
Remember to pass through more than once.

I traced and cut a curved piece from card stock to adhere to the base of the horn with Stampin' Seal

I used the template to cut a base from the Plush Poinsettia Patterend Paper mostly to give a  bit more look of fullness.

Stampin'Seal #152813

Red & Green Foil Sheets #153510

Cut/emboss 3 large and 3 medium poinsettias. Put each together with dimentionals in the middle.  Cut 3 small flower centers with Gold goil and glue or use glue dots to adhere those to the centers of the flowers.

I make most flowers look like there is movement by using my thumb nail and "fluffing" the center of petlals.  I also ccurve/bend the top petals from the centers pushing down with one thumb nail and creasing up with the other thumb,

There is an open die that fits the flowers in the plush Poinsettia Paper beautifully.  Cut 3.
I used Basic Red Rhinestones for the centers.

Rhinestones Red Basic #146924

to forma backing for the flowers I used Metallic Mesh ribbon wo make loops along with some red cord I had on hand.  I taped the ends to keep them together and to have a base for dimensionals.  Make as many as you need to frame. I like side curves.

 Metallic Mesh Ribbon #153550

Cut several leaves to frame the individual flowers from Gold Foil.

Plave the ribbon loops on top of the curved base piece.  arrange the flowere white on the upper curve and red on the lower curve, arranging leaves inbetween the flowers., all with dimentionals for strenth.  I used glue dots first and when it fell on the flower it all came apart.  Lesson lesrned!

A fun piece to hang for Christmas!

 3-D FUN  PAMPERED PETS

Many, many years ago we made cards but we did a LOT of 3-d Projects. Today I chose a plastic small white gargbage can for a room I am redoing upstairs.  I am using PAMPERED PETS stamp set and StazOn Black Ink.  The ink is permanent.  Easy name to remember that I think!  Heating the imgages makes further application quicker.  I colored the color with Blends in Real Red.  Stampin Blends are also permanent.  I plan to ad a bit more to the project later. I want to see it in the completed room first.

Have fun creating your own room decor in 3-D  πŸ’–πŸ’–
