STITCHED STARS THAT SHINE!

One of my Granddaughters turns 18 today ❤.  So I created a STITCHED STAR card from SU foils and glitter papers.

My base card is 6 1/2"×4 1/4" NIGHT OF NAVY with a top fold.  I used LAYERED  CIRCLES to cut a hole in the middle.  There is a lot of cutting for this card.

I used BRUSHED METALLIC CS, GOLD FOIL, BRASS FOIL AND BALMY BLUE GLITTER PAPER to cut various stars.

I cut the long star cluster for a side piece. On the opposite side I glued stars in a random pattern.
On the inside I glued a star piece of paper from scrap.
The 18 is cut from RAINBOW GLIMMER PAPER.
I used a retired set of numbers because they were bigger.  I could have cut a smaller hole to fit 2020-2021 Numbers.  The finishing touch was RHINESTONE BASIC JEWELS.

An easy card that looks very shiney for any occasion.

POSITIVE THOUGHTS

We just finished a beautiful Bible Study on the Fruit Of The Holy Spirit. I wanted our ladies to have a memento so I created a card they can place on a shelf.
It is created with SU stamp set POSITIVE THOUGHTS.
Very simple application. I used a regular base card in WHISPER WHITE and stamped the flower in DAFFODIL DELIGHT ink 6 times and the butterfly in PACIFIC POINT ink 3 times.

Since this is a 32 card set I did all the stamping first

Ahead of time I used Vellum to print out the fruit page to go on top.  I typed in Publisher using a 2 column, 2 row table the full size of the paper. Then cut in 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" .

Next I put some bling at the top of the vellum sheets using the gold sequins from SEQUINS FOR EVERYTHING.
Tiny dots of SU LIQUID GLUE then lifting the sequins in place with the TAKE YOUR PICK TOOL. Use mini glue dots to fasten the vellum sheet over the front of the card.

For inside sentiments I used the STAMPARATUS mainly because of the bulk. Its so easy to get your image where you want it each and every time.  TIP: clean the stamp off periodically so you don't get a messy build up.

Have fun!

Ornate Garden Patterned Paper

Quick Simple 'thinking about you' card.

6 1/2" x 4 1/4"card base in Sea Foam. Fussy cut a piece of 2 sided Ornate Garden Patterened Paper, floral side up. Then cut from more of the same sheet using the backside of the paper up, a Sunflower die from Sunflower Dies Set to place above the floral scene. Use Early Espresso Card Stock to cut a center. The die is from the same set. To dress up the Sunflowers, use Gold Glitter Enamel Dots in the center piece and spread Wink Of Stella on the centers of the sunflowers on the scene at the bottom. It's hard to see in the photo but the Wink Of Stella glitters quite nucely!

Use Just Jade Ribbon to fashion some loop leaves for balance. I taped the bottoms together then glued the loops under the die cut flower.
The new Playful Alphabet Die set works great to create a sentement out of Just Jade Card Stock.

PLAYING WITH PATTERNS SCRAP MOSAIC

I love most anything mosaic. I've been wanting to make a simple card for a long time.

I have used the Playing With Patterns 6x6 paper for many projects. It's a versatile pack. ON SALE FOR $9.78  #152490

I'm also using Stitched Rectangles for my main cuts then cutting those into triangles. Mine aren't all the same shape and size. After you've cut a bunch of triangles and even some small squares arrange a pattern that fits your card front.

My base card is Calypso Coral.  I end up using a 5 x 4 Night Of Navy top piece that represents grout.

The pieces are attached with glue. My top pieces were a bit off so I added fillers and a bow from scrap in a Paper Pumpkin  kit.
You can get as intricate or as simple as you want.

CREATION UPDATE --- VERY IMPORTANT!

My horn is hanging in my Craft Room and is falling apart-- I don't know if it's heat or the dimensionals. It's probably best to use a low heat glue gun on these types of projects.

                      HUGS!
